I am needing to get a bluetooth for my iphone. I am using square and it plugs in to your headphone jack making using your phone impossible without something extra. I thought about a jack splitter but am wanting to use a bluetooth. Can any of you suggest one? Have you used a jack splitter? I might go that rout but like I said, I am wanting a bluetooth.
My friend said an issue she had with hers was that her voice over slagged with her bluetooth... have any of you have had this issue?
And for those who don't know, square is a device you plug in to your phone and with the use of an app, you can turn your cell phone in to a credic card swiper.
Thanks
I have a Logitech H800 Bluetooth headset. It's super nice. The sound quality is great both on the phone and just listening to music. I haven't noticed iny lag with Voiceover.
Now, the one downside to these is that they're pretty big. This makes them ultra comfy but they're definitely not something you could stick in your pocket. Another cool thing about this set is they also came with a USB transmitter that you can plug into your computer if it doesn't already have Bluetooth. I paid $79.99 at BestBuy. I'm certain there are cheaper and smaller options but that's what I'm using.
Cheaper isn't better when we are talking Bluetooth. Smile.
You also don't say if you want stereo, or mono.
I've learned that using a splitter doesn't work on an iPhone for some reason depending on the plug you've got. The headset that came with your phone is good, but not wireless.
Lots of brands and types. I like Klipsch, and Bose, but these are going to cost you.
Bose has both mono, and stereo, Klipsch only stereo.
A friend of mine just got a Motorola mono, and it works nicely.
I think I would like to have the option of both stario and mono. I am not worried about cheep, i am worried about it not working well. I I was thinking just one ear peace but I think that I would like to have a headset because I could use it on my mac while walking around too.
I just feel a bit wierd using it while working but i am not to bothered by it.
Thanks for the suggestions. keep them coming if you can...
Well, here is what I'd do.
I'd buy one from my cellular provider. This way you know it will be compatible with your phone, and if you hate it you can return it in 14 days.
You'll pay top price for it, but you'll have support until you learn how they actually work. Don't go to cheap, because with these cheap is cheap. The one Domestic suggested is good, but stereo.
The amount you pay depends on what you want to do with it completely. Me I like music, so I want a quality stereo headset.
If you just want to hear the credit card number, and make calls, a mono for about 70 would do this fine.
iPhone's are a bit tricky as to connecting, so this is why if you buy from your cell provider, you know it works before you even buy it.
I have the Air Band headset and it's excellent: http://www.amazon.com/Headphones-Microphone-Hands-Free-Smartphones-Cellphones/dp/B004BW74DO

Thanks for your advice. I am thinking about that. I called my local apple store but theirs cost the lowest being $250. Don't want to pay quite that much.

I like your headphones, they seem nice. and a good price. I didn't see any complaints other than them not being super cumpfy.
I am still thinking on what I should get. I do want them to have a mike...
Well Apple cost more. Find out what Apple suggest, than shop for it.
Who is your cellular provider? A T and T, Sprint, Verizon? They have it for less than Apple.
Plus, if you buy either suggested by Willie or Domestic, you know they are compatible already. Tghese are also way less money then the ones I like.
I'll see if I can describe the Logitechs.
They have a hard plastic frame with foam padding at the top of your head. The ears are very well padded with traditional earphone padding. They pretty much cover my ears but they're vvery very comfortable. I almost wouldn't notice them. The mic is flexible and rotates to fold up along the inner righthand side when not in use. Also, the right speaker has 4 raised dots on the outside. The dots at the top and bottom raise and lower the volume. The dots on the front and back operate the play and stop or pause feature in some apps. There's a rocker lever just behind the slot where the micro USB charger plugs in that operates the skip forward and backward in many apps. Finally, the on/off switch is along the back paremiter of the right speaker. The lowest position is off. The middle connects the headphones to standard Bluetooth and the uppermost position connects them to the supplied USB transmitter.
The only complaint I have is that I've had difficulty switching them between my laptop and phone which both have Bluetooth already built in. I just use the USB adapter on the laptop since it saves battery life anyway. That way I can quickly switch back and forth if need be.
Oh, one other cool thing is that these have an audible low battery indicater. They also beep when they're paired.
Pairing was a bit tricky for me but that's because I had the switch positions wrong. Anyway, if you end up getting these, and need help, I'll dig up the instructions for you. I'm 99% sure that you're supposed to press the volume up button and the skip back lever for 3 seconds. I think doing the same with the skip forward feature switches between paired devices.
Anyway, that's probably more than you ever wanted to know but there you have it. I'm thinking about getting a pair for my hubby for Christmas but first I have to figure out if they would interfere with each other. lol
No, unless you are close to each other while using them. Check the range and stay away from him. hahaha.
Lol, Our house is 3200 SQ. Ft. so I'll bet we could handle that. lol Usually he's upstairs on the desktop and I'm down here on the laptop if we're computing at the same time.
